did not expect that.

went into his sitting room, loadsa biggies as you would expect, and i just dived on the fisher. id never seen one before, whereas i have seen >most< of the others in one guise or another. the discolite was a tad funky. never seen a 9696 in the flesh, or the popular crown with the top handles... im waffling.... i though the og lasonic was heavier than i expected.

anyways, he gave me a 492! and i havnt ripped it apart yet. has anyone got a nice big frontal shot of a 490 for a comparison please? sweet. hello all.

heyyy guys whats crackin? yah still here in NZ, reckon im headin soon tho, just gotta sell my van. a very long extended summer holiday it twas. i ran across a few ghettos here, mainly the black cd player rx series that Davelc loves, dem a loud radio no lie. next was a kaboom, dang id never heard one before, the bass was fantastic. subs are the way forward. the dang kabooms got no line in tho so its a bit, well, redundant -unfortunately. i found it on a rubbish tip, it was wet and a bit fried... it thought it had a tape deck and aux, but it didnt... and now the 492. i tell thee, its a good lookin object. nice to hear from all you guys

its ugly. but then so is the kaboom. i think it was the Bauhaus school of thought... form follows function... hell in that case its beautiful..

Hi Ned, good to see you back brother. 492's have Chrome capped speakers, Blue speaker grill trim rings/Silver grills and a Blue Fisher label on the cassette door. Pic of mine while working on the flightline at my AirBase.
