she and her other 12 year old friends sincerely like our old boomboxes --

Very Cool Ira. Those kids are very lucky to have a nice neighbor like you.
Its great to see the younger kids getting into boomboxes,and best of all your keeping them out of trouble by giving them something to do besides play video games and text message on their cell phones......

and they all tune into the rhythm & blues stations from miami --which sound GREAT on boxes !!

That's great...my 6 year old son loves the old school boomboxes, and i told him he can bring a BIG Conion to school when he has his first "show & tell"

My 5 year old son helps me clean and repair mine and asks me all the time for one for his dresser

I'm trying to get all the kids I find excited about boomboxery by educating them on the purpose and history of these babies

boxes keep a group of kids TOGETHER
dancing //enjoying//talking about the music ---

but ipods keep them alone --

the only 2 negatives for them about boxes --

are that the biggies are hard to manage on skateboards !!

and that - the younger kids prefer and expect them to be NOT boring black , grey and silver-
