Right on... Very cool. You (or rather your firend) have good gear. I think you have a good eye for composition and should get a rig of your own.

That new 12MP Rebel with the Image Stabilized kit lens is a fine combination indeed! And the 50mm 1.8 is a great value.

I have a 20D and the old version of that lens...!

mine is 8.2mp....but i think it's enough already,
just wanna hv a Full Film body and some better lens

WOW! 15mp for a crop body! Crazy! Good thing memory and hard drive prices have gone down so much!

My 20D is also 8.2 MP, but I've had it so long and shot sooooo many pics with it that I feel the need to give it a rest... It's only a matter of time before the shutter seizes!
