Beautiful receiver, I've always wanted the Pioneer SX-1250 receiver back in the dayz.

My cousin had one along with the Bose classic 901's the warm sounds that Pioneer shelled out was clean and powerful.

This is the absurd SX-1980, been after one for years. Mine has some internal issues currently being looked at by someone cleverer than myself.

70's to mid-late 80's Sansui gear is truly awesome... I'm selling a TU-9900 tuner right now, so far its up to $475, hoping to get over $500.

That is a wicked looking Receiver! Makes you wonder why they ever stopped making them like that.

billpc55 - 2009-01-15 22:38

i have got tons of old recievers now.
i love them i am really thinking more about them as items to collect now than anything else.
dont have anything as flashy as the sansui there.
but i do have one of there smaller amps and well.
its just a beautiful sounding amp.
