Five "AA" batteries fit perfectly into this tin.One is laying down on the bottom underneath the four seen in the picture.It is kept in my accessories bag along with a number of devices requiring "AA" power.These include my headphone amps,an Iaudio G3,a Konica Minolta camera,and a portable disc player.I used to throw "AA" batteries into my bag loose until I noticed how perfectly they fit into this discarded caffeinated mint container.Also,the lightning bolt is a very fitting symbol for this containers new use.This use is essentially the same as before...to provide extra "power".

Great idea and I love the Tin but I've never seen those mints in my neighborhood.

i would cover the insides bottom or top of that tin with some insulating tape as it may short cercuit the batteries
