well --she is not 'exactly' like Fatdogs UPS hottie -- but STILL.....

we have been doing the 'just friends act' for a long time -- like WAAAAAAAAAAAY too long

been settin' her up with the 'nice old guy' routine --
fresh orange juice daily ,
and on the days she looks extra good --
i whip out a box of Junior Mints --

(these tasty treats have worked flawlessly for 77% of the chicks in the hood)

anyhow -- up till this morning --nothing of major , reportable significance had transpired-

for those who dont get all those big words:

because-- 'little did she know' --
i actually (honestly) have TWO serious grails on the way -- via
the slow boats from both canada and hong kong

PLUS -- 2 non-serious Marantz grails from skippy--

so -- perhaps she felt that today was the right time to give the poor old guy a little something

i have read so many lovely stories on s2g --

all about how emotional some of us can get when we find our very first box , or a box we could never afford as a kid -
or even a box that was 'willed' to us by a kind old dead guy ,, etc --

so - yes -this a FIRST and has some deep meaning to me--

PLUS --its one of the few boxes that have ever landed here -- which needed no repairs --

and has a handle, deck door, antenna and battery cover --

its what some of you serious collectors might refer to as --
"a complete original box"

Ira.... you have taken something that was potentially very dirty.... it objectified women... and was insulting to the sacrament of marriage... it was a self-gratifying carnal fantasy that was sinful at its very conception....
