the shipping might be $400 to get them down there --but STILL !! what a nice set of speakers --
btw --i am not bidding on these --
but sure wish that my shack was big enough for this one-off set.
I wonder how they sound compared to their wooden cabinet counterparts? Very cool though. being that they are clear, You could take those to prison with you.

BTW These have been on ebay before just over a year ago I guess.... min bid $1500.... so I wonder what the reserve is this time.
linky-lookyFor the rest of us.....
or maybe not....
now those are cool. i think i would for sure be putting a bid on those if the shipping wasnt so high. well looking at them i dont think you could build them for very cheap. i think they probably sound ok. i dont think they are going to give you audiophile sound. who cares tho i mean they look fantastic.
They would be a "must have" if you collected Vintage Pioneer home equipment. (I don't) I will be watching the reserve, but since apparently they attempted to sell these last August for a min bid of $1500.

What a cool set of speakers.
For those of you whose significant others complain about the look of the big boxy speakers here's the solution, transaparent speakers.
The cabinet won't give a visual effect of taking up a lot of space but my guess is the complaint against them would change to something else.
