really ??

i liked it . . although, personally i would have liked a news report after the film end , to tie up the loose ends and show you what actually happened , was the beast / beasts defeated etc . .

Did any of you notice the scene at the very end, where the boy/girl are on the ferris wheel? They show a shot of a yacht in the ocean and you can see something like a meteor coming down and splashing in the water. It was an alien for sure... Would have been nice to know how that part of it ends. I bet there will be another movie to wrap it up for us.

walkgirl - 2008-07-07 22:34

Big Grin Red Face

I did not notice that at the end!, maybe there will be a part 2!!

You missed a major point here, they were at coney island a week BEFORE when this was recorded. It implies that this started a week prior because they were recording OVER the tape with the two of them.......there were a few cut backs showing old footage as the new footage was being recorded.

Remember this tape is be reviewed from being to end. The recording of the entire event from the dumbazz who started blindly recording at were ever the tape was last played is where the movie begins, but not at the absolute beginning of the tape itself.

Cloverfield 2 is already in production from a tight source I have in Hollywood.......and I'll go on record as saying, for 10 years, he has never been wrong.....Wink

Yup, I knew that... To me, that proved that the monster was an alien. And those cut backs showed why there was such a connection between those two characters and why the tape was important to him. I mis-typed my comment before... shouldn't have added "that part of it"

I meant it would have been good to see how/if the creature was finally conquered. Lots of questions left unanswered. Very, very cool movie!

walkgirl - 2008-07-25 13:10

Confused

Now it is gone! Confused

penge - 2008-07-25 13:21

Nicolle the translation here is breaking down.
I may be a slight bit old fashioned but "poop" is not really the word a lady should use.

walkgirl - 2008-07-25 13:32

What should I use then??

penge - 2008-07-25 13:43

Scared out of my wits.
Give me the shiffers.

Or better still "F that scared the life out of me"

walkgirl - 2008-07-25 13:51

Smile

I never hear these sayings!, because I cannot
remember something like that from the English lessons
in school!

But from now on when I need to use it I use your
words Smile

No worries sport, she'll be right (that's Australian, i lived 30years in Aus and now 31 in the UK )
But i used to live in the Hague during my school summer holidays (packed of by mum and dad) for 2 to 4 weeks to my grandma and grandad.
I remember the milkman with big pales of yogurt, and the grocer calling out as they walked down the road. "Sparese bona fife and toxoa cents a kilo<some spelling wrong".
The ladies lowering their baskets down from the top floor out of the window and the man filling them up with groceries and they would pull up the basket, and of course the wonderful 5cent drop diamonds.

Anyway stay cool..............................Penge

toxoa cents a kilo = tachtig cent per kilo

A dead dairy cow.

Frown

Oh yes, check your pm babyboomer, at least from a while back Red Face

baby.boomer - 2008-07-25 15:04

Please don't be Frown . It was just a poor attempt at humor. I was thinking what a movie called "Dairy of the Dead" might look like.

PM checked and answered.
