Hi Ira,

I went out to try to shoot pics of it earlier, too many clouds on this side of the state. All I caught were occasional glimpses of the fireball.

Next night launch I'm heading to the other coast!

I was in Merritt Island on the side of 520 for the launch. It was awesome (as all night launches are). Cloudy over here as well, not a good launch for photography.

JT, if you come over, plan to A) stay where you are at launch time for a few hours (traffic is horrible) and B) get a hotel over here or by 436 and 528 (shorter trip back home in the morning).

Cool Cool I forgot all about the launch,I've seen several With Freinds in Cocoa,and Satt Bch,Night Launches are def very cool.

enskanker - 2008-11-15 05:11

I've lived in FL 29 years and never seen a launch.

We will see one before they end, Betty and I agreed last night. PF, I will tap you for advice like what you posted when the time comes.

Like JT all we saw were some fireball between clouds.

Big = Moon
Little = Endeavor
Head = Betty

Can the USA gov. really afford this kind of stuff?

redbenjoe - 2008-11-15 07:00

If 99% of the capital , overhead and labor expenses are spent in the usa --for usa industries and employees ---then YES
