My nice golf is like new again because I have new seats

It is a rather unused set from a 1987 golf gtd

So therefore sports seats

I also can adjust the hight!!

The guy who sold them had them on his loft since 1992 or so, so they were used
only 5 years or so!, agains my old seats which were used for 27 years

Walkgirl, I'm intrigued, how did you break the seats?

walkgirl - 2011-03-04 09:51

Did not break them, they were just worn

It is because for my work I have to get in and out of the car upto
15 times a day

so everyhting gets broken faster

cooldude - 2011-03-04 12:00

Here finally after a little while pictures from the new seats in my 27 year old vw golf!!

But I did decide that to protect those nice new seats to get a nice protective cover for them:

walkgirl - 2011-04-30 09:37

brutus442 - 2011-04-30 15:14

Congrats Walkgirl!

That VW is in amazing shape for 27 years on the road! What's the odometer reading just out of curiousity?

walkgirl - 2011-04-30 23:11

252000

brutus442 - 2011-05-01 04:33

252000 and the car looks like it just came off the assembly line....WOW beautiful!!

walkgirl - 2011-05-01 08:18

Well, it is 27 years old with mathcing sratches here and there

That is why I needet the new seats as the old ones were worn with a hole

in it

brutus442 - 2011-05-01 09:08

as the old ones were worn with a hole

in it

A car salesman would say "it's well expeienced with additional ventillation ports"

isolator42 - 2011-05-02 04:27

My wife's mk2 golf driver's seat had a weld failure on one side - not exactly in keeping with the VW reputation for build quality. Still it was pretty much the only thing that went wrong with it in the 5+ years that we owned it.
I suspect the seats of a 27 year old car would be pretty threadbare...

walkgirl - 2011-05-02 05:13

Jup, that was wrong with the old seat also!, I was hanging to one ide while driving!!

My car went to what you call mot, all was well exept te left seat!! , so it was time

to get new ones

It's you're big billen... hey at least all is well and you diddn't need to sell any walkmen

walkgirl - 2011-05-02 05:37

I cannot answer to that

No I did not need to sell walkmans!!

But maybe in the near futute I will because I need the car to be good as

I do not have money for a new one and I do not want a new one because this one is

still okay and it is a oldimer in the meanwhile so I pay no roadtax!!

radio.raheem - 2011-05-02 05:46

Im only kidding lass..hey no roadtax ehh that's 2 fingers to the goverment then hey i may get that walkman sent to you soon...it would be nice to see it going again...but i have lost the housing screws don't sell any walkman flower you will regret it...like me selling most of my boomboxes..

walkgirl - 2011-05-02 06:24

EuroNCAP five-star rating not a certainty then

walkgirl - 2011-05-03 07:53

Do not know, is from 84, was that then?

isolator42 - 2011-05-04 01:18

Indeed, no EuroNCAP back in '84. Just as well, as I'll bet many cars from then would fail badly. One car from that era that was tested was the Rover Metro. It got 1 star out of five... I suspect the Golf is a fair bit stronger, however

walkgirl - 2011-05-04 01:45

The golf is super strong
