hey guys just been given a nice bang and olufsen beomaster 2000 from the mid 80s with hidden control panel and feather touch controls-got a matching beogram cd player still to come.does anyone have an idea of its true value-i know it has some just not sure what!

i was fixing a video recorder for a friend once,i was nervous as hell because it was a bang & olufsen and the guy said he paid a fortune for it,when i took it apart,underneath the shell it was an hitachi,it was actually exactly the same model as i'de worked on before,so basically,b&o must have got aload of videos from hitachi with no casing,then built a casing to fit,then made it there own..

some people must have thought they were buying a B&0 video and gave a grand for it,but little did they know,that inside it was a £200 hitachi..

same as a few years ago,i was repairing a jvc portable tv,when i took the back off it had cheap brand bush insides.. 

hey toocool4 yeah man thats the exact same one,only now i have the beogram cd3300 to go with it too-that guys on ebay is of course a buy it now,but he seems to sell plenty of it so i dont doubt his price one bit-he has a cd player on offer somewhere else that ive only just noticed with a buy it now of 200!i know we cant really base values off of this but if we did ive potentially got about 300 quids worth!wow!dave bush man youre good-i saw a wrecked record player with built in amp (i forget the model number) at a carboot a few months back and they wanted 50-for a wrecker!this works fully,sounds great with two 45w akais pumping away-its not mint but its very presentable!so in the long run ive answered my own question!

hey beanieman i dont know if theres any hitachi content to these units but i know what you mean-just look at jvc and ferguson-if your unfortunate enough to look at a ferguson 3t13 boombox,like i have,youll notice a startling similarity to an rc656 jvc-the one with the enclosed speakers!so it seems even b+o were into copycatting too!

I have a B&O Century, come guy fawkes it dies.

 Worst bit i have and it cost a ton, thought it was the bees knees when i saw it, talk about Shot down in flames.

Interesting to know penge....I know this no bNo is going to come within miles of my hifi....mind you the headphones i have aint bad...but they were made by jensen and not b/o although they have the b/o badge...
