Thanks for listing them photos, Beanie Man.

Very interesting. I had forgotten about Chernoble for a while.

Being a collector of vintage electronics, i do have a cold war Geiger counter (The yellow type one) here in the basement somewhere.

Hope i never have to use it.

sigh... just numbered picture's .... no caption's....... No real idea of just what where when ...yadddaa.... you are looking at except for maybe the title... kinda don't believe with out some kind of note's of the image... Like going to western Texas or Arizonia or New Mexico and taking pictures of the Ghost town's through there...

thats still haunting after all these years but watched something on discovery about wild life had returned .

them pics remind me of call of duty 4...the game was modelled on the town.

i know, thats a massive risk,i think if its still contaminated, that would cause health problems,i bet its all in the ground and walls and every where, its a wonder those people did'nt breath it in through any dust,i'm surprised to see grass growing..i did'nt think anything could live..

One of my cousins, came over to visit, about 6 years ago. She was once a healthy, fit looking woman. She looked shocking. She has just started being ill, from the fall-out.

seen a programme about the place, some scientist lives there, grows his own veg and stuff, seen it on the excellent documentry `life after people` too,if its left long enough you wont even know a town was there.

I have seen a lot of post melt down pics. I always wondered what the place looked like before the accident. Here's a cool site I found with a bunch of galleries:
