JVC M-90, lightly used, lady driven...

brutus442 - 2012-01-16 01:04

I had to post this. It wasn't the condition of the box that shocked me...or the BIN price....but the Q&A at the bottom.

I'm tempted to take up the offer to phone her mom and talk boomboxes

That must have been a wild hellraising church his/her mom went to
Holy rollers from back in the 80's were stylin but kinda rough to get it beat up like that

Ooh, an M90 auction to follow.

Always plenty of entertainment value on s2g with one of these...

LOL, I like the "Borrowed from another auction" at the bottom.  Too bad that is against Ebay's rules.

Too funny lol!

Yeah I seen that last night, just a punk kid trying to get rich..  I checked the sellers feedback, it was all video games, ipods, fast and furious movies, stuff like that..

I hate how 1 person will put a ridiculous price on ebay for a box, and everyone thinks that is how much they are all worth....

isolator42 - 2012-01-17 00:41

Well, IF it's fully working & just needs new antennas & IF the condition is as good as the seller says, IMHO it's worth the starting bid price (less than £500). Shame about the top trim though.

Mind you, with a boomer that old, & with a deck that complicated, I'd like someone who knows what they're doing to have been inside & restored stuff (cleaned switches, replaced belts, lubed tape mech, etc.).

chris69 - 2012-01-17 01:00

You notice how that seems to be happening alot lately with a number of boomers but especially the grails like the Conion and the M90. They see one go for an insane price so they think theirs is worth as much and more.
Makes you wonder what this hobby will be at in 5-10 years

It would be worth the start bid at most but even if i had that kind of money which i don't,it's alot more fun finding one in the wild. Plus i'm fed up receiving smashed up boombox's due to sellers who have never shipped one and have no experience packing that type of item.

....I would agree Isolator BUT...only if he includes the Amazing Grace mix tape and a pic of his mother carrying it out of church on her shoulder

Screw the box, looked at his feedback and notice he actually sold a PS3 60gb for $1025, I have about 8 of them that work, that in mint working condition, as I restore and repair these, time to do some listing.

With 8 of those if you even get $500.00 each you can buy a couple M90'S. Go for it!
PS. Don't forget to include some religious games though
