This farmer is clearly nuts, won't recommend getting revenge on that farmer etheir, Due to the fact, if they caught you and yes their usually more then one, they don't hesitate to shoot to kill or even resort to torture and get away with it, plus they setup traps. Let the insurance and police deal with this matter, then again that person was on his property, courts will more likely side with him, but doesn't make it right, he is clearly in the wrong and sure be admitted, or in prison.
