lav.loo - 2012-09-29 12:32

blaster - 2012-09-29 12:43

yeah lav, they made some great tracks,...one of my other faves was Last train to Trancentral" and "What time is Love"....i remember having their music videos VHS back then

davebush - 2012-09-29 12:45

Yeah...i loved the KLF too.............quality..

FACT.....they were called the time lords before the KLF

KLF = Kings of Low Frequency

Jimmy Cauty + Bill Drummond

Atari ST   computer programmers

they hated julian lennon

blaster - 2012-09-29 12:47

and "what time is love?"

deliverance - 2012-09-29 12:48

bison - 2012-09-29 13:13

i didnt get these,i always thought they hated northeners

lav.loo - 2012-09-29 13:32

firstly Davebush, i always thought the klf stood for kings of low frequency, but if you go to their page you'le find it stood for kentucky liberation front something to do with them liking kentucky in the usa.

and i like all the vid links you put up guys, i even like the duet with tammy wynette lol.

and Bison that seems a little ironic as jim cauty is actually scottish, strange.

bison - 2012-09-29 13:35

dont know why mate its just the impression i got at the time, did they bring sommat out called `grim up north`

davebush - 2012-09-29 13:37

yeah they did andy....

justified ancients of mu mu

bison - 2012-09-29 13:41

i should call my aiwa 600 `the klf`

its justified.... and its ancient

lav.loo - 2012-09-29 13:43

yeah i think it was just something to do with it always pissing down up north

they was called the timelords before the jams, they released that doctor who track in 87 i think, it scored a number one but i hated it.

it's grim up north was quiet bleak but very good i thought

they also got a grammy for best vid for the last train to trancentral track in 91

With 'stakker' who brought out humanoid in some little club, the place was bouncing
That much stakkers keyboard fell off the stage, hilarious it wasn't even plugged in

lav.loo - 2012-09-29 15:46

stakker humanoid, one of my fave late 80's house tracks, along with s'express and hithouse

bison - 2012-09-29 15:58

Must admit humanoid was/is a great track, even if he was pretending to play the keyboards

toocool4 - 2012-09-29 16:24

KLF had 2 meanings, one is King of Low frequency and the other was Kopy right liberation front.

Yes they where the Jams before and after that the Times Lords.

lav.loo - 2012-09-30 02:56
