oh man. I really feel, for the people affected by this. It`s like, one of those disaster movies, come true. You can`t stop, the power of the weather.

Feelings, must be running high, in the US, at the moment. Blaming god, probably, wasn`t the best post. That`s just my opinion.

in many religions, representations of God vary from the very merciful to the almost merciless, at least if we judge divine actions by human standards. i guess TheLion was referring to the myth of The Flud, which combines both

I'm sad about what happened.  I live in Pennsylvania and we got a lot of rain, but where I am, a couple of trees fell, and somehow the power stayed on through the whole thing.  I have relatives who live in one of the flood-prone areas that had to be evacuated, so they stayed with us for a couple of days.  We are very fortunate to say the least, but I really feel for those in New York and the Jersey Shore.  I was in New York just a few weeks ago and seeing Manhattan so dark on the news last night was like something out of The Twilight Zone.

To all our S2G members (and everyone else) in the affected areas I hope you are safe and that this situation passes ASAP.
