think i seen the ad for new album on the tv the other day, don't think il'e be bothering now

litfan - 2012-10-30 12:36

Bowie, is indeed a genius, but, i think, he has a lot of music left in him. I don`t know, if any of you have heard of rick springfield? He has just released his new album, and, for a 63 year old, it`s better than some stuff, made by youngsters. That is their job, music. Why stop?

toocool4 - 2012-10-30 13:24

Madness my favourite group of all time.

Yes I did hear My Girl 2 in passing the other day on FIP, not very good I have to agree. It may grow on me.

I don’t know if anyone else has noticed it, but is it me or does Suggs never age? The guy looks just the same as he looked in the 80’s

lav.loo - 2012-10-30 14:59

can't play your upload Blaster due to copyright

blaster - 2012-10-30 15:00

and One step beyond...but only the beginning...because a few DJs used it in some megamixes in the 80s...

.

blaster - 2012-10-30 15:02

lav...plays fine on my end...could be maybe region prohibited

blaster - 2012-10-30 15:05

these guys were good to .

litfan - 2012-10-30 15:13

I`m gonna be the odd one out here (again). I never liked this song. Alway`s found it too simple. I like something, that is a bit more challenging to listen to, ie, yes, strawbs.

bison - 2012-10-30 15:14

my favourite madness track

blaster - 2012-10-30 15:23

Sounds good Del...sounds like SKA....reminds me of this house track from the late 80s early 90s

.

lav.loo - 2012-10-30 15:26

that's a mad house track Blaster, i love late 80s house it's the bomb, never heard this before though??

bison - 2012-10-30 15:28

nor me only the bad manners one.....like it

northerner - 2012-10-30 16:11

I love a bit of ska!...school discos in my day were full of it! Seen Bad Manners twice, once in the 80's and again a couple of years a go at the local music festival...hilariously awesome both times!

claret.badger - 2012-10-30 21:00

madness were an OK band ruined by some "fans" they acquired from the NF - something they did nothing to address at the time -  and hence why they were booted off the Two Tone label

I loved the Specials - and saw them 3 years back when they reformed - and they were epic

I think Madness should have called it a day after One Step Beyond

toocool4 - 2012-10-31 03:26

Madness - My Girl 2

isolator42 - 2012-10-31 04:05

That Madness single is OK IMHO, nothing special.

I saw Madness a few times, great 80s tunes & good live too.

I need to get into some more Ska - I really like all the very old stuff: Desmond Dekker, Harry Johnson & The All Stars, Dave and Ansell Collins, Rico, The Skatalites, etc. The original recordings are often have truly appalling sound quality, but are dripping with soul... the heart of good music to me

northerner - 2012-10-31 05:38

On leave this week so am listening to The Specials on my newly fixed M70...holy crap this box is awesome and ska rools!!!

bison - 2012-10-31 08:16

i think these guys deserve a mention on this thread

lav.loo - 2012-10-31 08:25

deliverance - 2012-10-31 09:48

litfan - 2012-10-31 15:12

Good one chris. Here`s a controversial one. They have found a new mountain in liverpool. Yeah, they`ve named it "killamanforagiro". .

lav.loo - 2012-10-31 15:16

litfan - 2012-10-31 15:21

What, you mean "calm down, calm down"?

litfan - 2012-10-31 15:22

Harry enfields scousers, priceless.
