Hi, heres my pickups for weekend of Sept 8 2013.

First up is a vintage 1981 Electrohome Model C55-131 Color TV.
Got it for $5 bucks at an estate sale. Work perfect.
It's manufactured by Samsung.

Next up I Picked up this vintage Panasonic RC-6010 Alarm Flip Clock Radio at an estate sale for $5 bucks.
It is in near mint condition, no scratches. Works 100% ! Incredible find !
I believe these were made in the mid - late 1970's.
Here's a video of it as well:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...amp;feature=youtu.be

Lastly, I got this 1971-72 Tonka Pickup plow truck at a garage sale near my house for only $6 bucks!
Cleaned it up a bit. Not bad shape.

robb - 2013-10-05 11:41

Went to 3 estate sales today, got there a bit late but still managed to find some goodies.

Here's a vintage 1981 Technics SA-203 Receiver. Paid $8. Works perfect.
It was a but dirty but cleaned up nicely.
Excellent quality and rare. Nicest tuner Ive seen !
30 watts RMS per channel into 8 ohms
1981 MSRP was $230.
MADE IN JAPAN

Second up is a Realistic SCR-31 Boombox.
Paid $5 for it. Near mint condition.
Also got some blank cassettes thrown in.
Even though its Made in China, I still got it since its mint..lol

michiel - 2013-10-05 12:24

I like the Tonka

brutus442 - 2013-10-06 04:43

Great scores Robb!

That Scotch blank tape brings a few memories....not for the tape but for the sticker! Bi-Way...I completely forgot about those stores

Used to be able to snag quite a few deals from them. They were the ultimate discount store in he 80's...especially for D-Cell batteries

Bargain Harolds, Woolco, and Woolworths too. Honest Eds is closing in a few years.

robb - 2013-10-14 19:07

Picked up a few more things today:
Paid $20 for the TV and all the catalogs

1971 Sony CVM-110UA Transistor Video TV Monitor (Made in Japan)

Info: This tv/monitor was a general purpose B&W set used for video productions in the 1970s. Most of the time, it was used in conjunction with reel to reel tape recorders and video cameras. This monitor is very versatile having multiple audio/video inputs/outputs at the back, selection switches and even a VHF tuner to watch Television, so this is pretty much a television and monitor in one!!! The woodgrain vinyl was probably added on by the previous owner as these sets came with a black casing.

Vintage Consumers Distributing Catalogs

Vintage Radio Shack Catalogs

Vintage Coke AM/FM Transistor Radio - Paid $5 (Made in Hong Kong)

1981-1982 Pioneer SK-100 AM/FM Boombox - Paid $25 (Made in Taiwan with Japanese parts)
Everything works including cassette

robb - 2013-10-14 19:08

Well, I went ahead and took off the fake wood vinyl. Took me less than 5 minutes ! Maybe a blessing in disguise ? Theres no scratches anywhere ! That fake wood vinyl protected it all these years ! :smoke:

brutus442 - 2013-10-14 20:22

Those catalogs and that vending machine radio would have made me part with my $$ in a heartbeat. What year are the catalogs from Robb?

robb - 2013-10-14 20:29

All human beings are provided with a characteristic called Jealous!

You should be banned from going outside for flea market shopping .

tster - 2013-12-07 11:36

I love these regular updates Robb, your a man after my own heart. Every weekend I try to attend some jumble sales, table sales or car boot sales. I love it, the gems you find make it so enjoyable and sometimes for so little cash money.

Keep the pics coming man!

robb - 2014-01-15 10:25

Here's my 1967 Buddy L Pressed Steel Volkswagen Ski Lodge Bus/ Van. Not in the greatest condition, it is missing the top sliding sunroof plastic, and 1 front headlight is cracked and a bit rough around the edges although it does have a nice patina to it.

Made in the heartland of America, East Moline, Illinois, it was one of few VW bus toys made in the U.S. and the only large scale steel bus. By the 1960's the U.S. toy industry was rapidly outsourcing production to Japan and China. These Microbuses have attained serious collectors status in recent years due to their being made in the States and the unique steel construction, not to mention that prime examples are scarce.

robb - 2014-04-04 14:48

Went to an estate sale today and they had roughly 1000 records there. The lineup to get in was insane. Some people lined up at 12 midnight for a 3pm sale !
I was lucky I went very early and was #12 in line.
Anyways, everyone attacked the records in the basement.
I managed to get in and shove my way around people and grabbed a stack of Rush records.
I removed the ones that I had already and kept these.
I paid $3 each (total 7 records)
They are all original Anthem Canadian pressings.
They are all in pristine condition and jacket in excellent shape.

heres some pics
