does anybody know, where this tape belongs to ? i don`t know, what "APSS" means ...

Is it a Sharp GF?  My 9191's manual has the same eagle logo.

Oh and APSS is the ability to rewind or fast forward to the start of the next track.  My Dad's JVC car radio had it, it was called music search.

APSS = Advance Program Search System. Introduced by Sharp on all its Radio Cassette Recorder Products. I have the same tape and instruction manual for one of its product. The purpose was just to advance one song to the next or vice versa.

APSS was introduced in 1979 according to here...
https://www.sharpusa.com/About...chnologyHistory.aspx

All I know is that my 9191 has it and so do many of the other GF series of this era.

I even made a deck door sticker for it ;-)

Great Info. Thanks. I'll miss all the hell of cassette tape of my collections.
Those years of the 70s and 80s. We used to buy alcohol and cotton swaps just to enjoy better quality sound reproduction.
I missed all those demonstration tape too whenever I purchased a new radio cassette recorder. They were well recorded with superb sound quality on an ordinary tapes. if I am not mistaken all were recorded on Normal 70us Fe Oxide tape media. Tape technology can't be deny bringing advancement in computer storage and still in used today.

Sorry, but electronics and statistics require exact information, and people quote from this site, and quote mistakes also. Better not to post wrong, misleading information.

So the fact is - not every Sharp tape recorder has Auto Program Search System.

And it wasn't Sharp's invention. Search system was invented by Belgian company Staar S.A.

Sharp, Sony, Sanyo and other japanese manufacturers just bought a licence to produce it.
