So here is my latest purchase. It is a sony WM-F404. Apart from two tiny scratches on the front where the tuner is, there are no other marks on it. The build quality of this thig is amazing. Even the drive wheels are steel, with sony wrote on them. It works perfectly, with no wow or flutter. The sound is very sweet indeed. Also, it has a tv tuner which is really cool. Considering it dates from 1989, the condition is remarkable. Just its outer box is torn. I have refined my picture uploading. These pictures were more successful than my last. Cheers!

Excellent find. You've got to love Sony for big gearwheel reduction and radio-in-a-door. If you don't mind, how much was it?

It worked out at 160 euro plus postage. It was not bought on ebay. I purchased it from china. I think it was well worth the money. Would you agree?

Guys, don't think of it as spent money or even a purchase. Really is an investment, as long as it's taken care of the investment can always be recouped. I can't think of too many things that hold their value that are so inexpensive and give so much enjoyment.
Of course, there is a risk but that's part of investing. Make sure your walkmans are in your will! Lol.
