Here we have a golden oldie the CQ-F2K THE SECOND JVC WALKMAN MADE with rare FM Tuner module. HAS DOLBY B one of the earliest walkmans with Dolby ( JVC termed ANRS ). IT is near perfect condition cosmetically and with beautiful execution of 3 surface finishes chrome, brushed and diamond bright rough metal appearance. This is one of the best feeling Walkmans in your hands. Solid as a rock, superb build, fitment quality and the exterior type of metal gives a most comfortable feel to the skin. The radio functions with high marks in ease of tuning, station capture and wide stereo separation. It is one of my best performing FM tuner module model of the 26 I have. You have to love the inside of the cassette bay. She is in need of a belt so cannot comment on tape performance, anyone know correct belt? BRAVO JVC Job Well Done !

Here is a list of the first few early JVC model numbers for future reference.

And now we move onto the GLORIOUS CX-5 and CX-F5 in RED MORE RED and Black !! This was a breakaway design for sure and logic controls that are slow but methodical in exicution. All play excellent with quite good sound quality and above avg. realistic bass response with out boost ability that often muddies up the sound to me. Dolby B included. The red CX-5 is the more rare as most people bought it with tuner. This one came in the German collection I bought some time ago of all very collectable players. It is pristine condition. The F5 I just won on ebay for $28 including shipping astounding ! I totally did not expect to win and did not put in much of bid due to expenesive purchases lately. It was sold as having no FF or Rew but play worked. It arrived with FF and REW working perfectly and in rev. play excellent sound but in fwd play no left channel ? Any guess to problem. It is in very good condition so for the money quite happy. I have had the black one for a year now.

RED DELICIOUS
