Greetings all. Here is my latest purchase. A WM-3. It is a real beauty. 29 years old, and not one mark or blemish on it. The case has a tiny rub mark, but apart from that it is mint. I don't think it has ever been used. It works perfectly, but i think the belts need replacing.

Can anyone tell me what headphones would have came with player. MDR-3L2'S or MDR-50'S? Also, where can i get repacement belts for it?

The original headphones are MDR-4L1 very hard to find, similar to the WM-2's MDR-4L1S but black and without the mute button.

You can get belts here:

These are odd, many have survived in this nice boxed condition. I suspect they were given away as corporate gifts or such like. Anyway, they appear far more often than clean TPS-L2s.

I grabbed this one from eBay FR for pennies a few years back.

I've finally found a set of 4L1's for this unit. I got them on ebay Germany. The player was pretty shot, but the headphones and case were spotless. I have also changed the belts on this unit. It now works, and looks like it was only manufactured yesterday, which is amazing when you consider it dates from 1981. This is now one of my favorite walkmans in my collection. It is a really fine unit.
