These are so cool - I am a little confused though, about the window on the front (back?) of the unit - is it both smoked and has a mirrored finish? The difference between the first shot and the last two is pretty significant!

It's a mirror finish. The difference between the first and last shot is the angle I was taking the picture.
WOW !! Totally love the blue color of this model. Only ever seen silver and have silver myself. Lucky man.
Sony outdid themselves with this unique front ( controls on back for this model as you would NOT want to set player mirror side down) that depending on lighting and angle is a total mirror reflecting surface or translucent see through with a smoke effect. Often referred to as the most BEAUTIFUL WALKMAN designed. Also for reference here is the correct remote for the player ( check
www.partstore.com may have remote .. expensive but if you want it bad enough..)
