Cool

I did alot of thinking, and I did come to the
conclusion that is is probably not good for one
person to have that many nice walkmans!, so I
think it might be the best for you and your
developement in the years to come that

you give at least 1/2 to me Big Grin Leaving

I also see that there are a few walkmans you own
are not on there Frown

Smile

walkgirl - 2008-05-13 07:34

Yipee Big Grin

That's just incredible. So many nice, nice Walkmans. I especially like all your Aiwa's and that one red Sharp TV/Cassette unit. Thanks for sharing these pics AO.

No wonder you're able to answer all questions about any and all walkmans. YOU HAVE THEM ALL!

I do wonder why more people aren't into this hobby, some of these items are like wonderful little jewels of engineering.

I'm not going to say I have great knowledge but I have learned a lot from just collecting & fixing. But to be fair to the rest of you, I try to look & listen to what others are saying and doing & build my own knowledge accordingly. Each one of you are experts in your own area, Autoreverser for his weird Ukranian TPS clones, Nak D & Skippy for those wonderful JVC's & Toshibas which just don't come to the UK & of course Walkgirl who still manages to find those illusive boxed rarities.

I'm trying desperately not to appear big-headed or 'boasty' (word?) but I have a lot more I need to photograph & to see them altogether like this has made me want to take more pics.

So, whatch this space for, amongst others, pics of...

* The illusive Holy Grail of walkmans the red
* Sanyo M-G1
* Boxed Sanyo M-GF5
* Aiwa HS-UA7 with radio (I chalenge you to find another)
* My top ten quest of the year the white with black & red detail panasonic Way
* The entire panasonic Way series (I kid you not)
* Range of Sony & Aiwa credit card radios, well, three of them.

OK, 'boasty' it is then.

wow! I am flabbergasted! Amazing collection!

autoreverser - 2008-05-13 11:46

hey cris, your text sounds like a fare-well-letter, or from a lovee-dovee-movie, wow bro, i'm sure you had almost tears in ur eyes (heeheee!)

...anybody remembers the movie 'Nobody' with terence hill ? there's a scene where he stays with henry fonda (alias jack beauregard) on a graveyard, telling jack the story about those legendary old gunslinger-heroes, where there's actually only a handfull that really counts - for the Walkman-collectors you're one of'em, buddy !

cris, i think i have to get some pics of my entire collection ready as well,

i would like paul & jazzrat2000 to do the same !!!!!

I'm stunt, shocked and reconsidering my ambitions... Lol Smile
Cris, amazing collection!

Agent, when I'm ready to get rid of my DD 9 I guess I know who might be interested. Seriously, what a good job. Some really nice walkmans. And some really nice photos. All hail Agent Orange.

ao - 2008-05-14 23:09

Nak, don't get rid of the DD9 & especially not to the children. These are rare now & those who do own them know what they're worth.

zx280 - 2008-05-14 23:51

Amazing collection A.O. Real inspiration for Downunder collectors. Suprisingly some rare items turn up in Australia but no collectors are in your league down here yet.

Sounds good but Mine has a slight (very small) dent on corner at the rear of unit + a small scrape at top of rear )... not sure how this would effect value... looks almost new from the front mind, (and back save for above 2 things) and has original case. And fully working/sounding fantastic. I mentioned passing it on as I'm thinning the herd and I'm not sure how much more walkman prices will change in the coming months/years. As you say they can be a law unto themselves.
