The Sharp is very rare, not many of these have survived.

Yeah, the SHARP is the only one! I like the good look of this Walkman, You are lucky enought to find one with the tuner pack, lovely units, like WALKGIRL said, tghe best 80's look for a portable stereo.

Aha, the WM-36.
My brother was impressed with my WM-60 & was interested in a cheaper Sony walkman with Dolby & a 5 band EQ (he could live without auto-reverse), to replace his aging Sanyo. We took my WM-60 along to listen alongside the WM-36...
Even I was surprised at the difference in sound quality (using the same headphones & tapes). The WM-36 always sounded like you were trying to rescuse the sound with the EQ, rather than tailor it to your desire, as you were with the WM-60. It was a food for thought that Sony, purveyor of mighty no-compromise Walkmen such as the DC2, could chuck something like this out into the marketplace.
My brother stuck with his Sanyo for a little while longer, until the Aiwa youknowwhat hove into view & emptied all our wallets...
