Cool

That are nice walkmans!, I even see some I did see on
the ebay once like the white sanyo! Smile, happy to see
it did go to a good walkman home Smile

The aiwa and sanyo walkmans are of course fery
lovely, but the sony's are not my super favourites,
at least the little ones.

Corry

milosancho - 2008-06-09 08:18

Once again, simply amazing. Your "stock since Christmas" is better than most after years of collecting. Very good stuff.

ao - 2008-06-09 10:31

Thanks for the kindness guys. I should say that the collection pics at the bottom have been around a while & aren't in fact 'new stock'.

My current favourites are the three Panasonics at the top, these chaps are so darn rare.

Also, the red Sany M-G1 (fourth pic down) is the one that has took me the longest to find. I bought this unit new in 1982 & have been trying to find another one since. it was my quest to find this one that got me into this whole mess.

TASTE!!! that is what you have!

beautiful walkmans. some of the best looking ones out there!

isolator42 - 2008-06-12 10:42

Nice Cris, nice.
What's the model number of the big, white Sanyo (which is a bit like an M4440)?

walkgirl - 2008-06-12 13:03

M3330 Big Grin

masterblaster84 - 2008-06-12 14:20

That's a beatiful collection, you have quite a few extremely nice walkmans. Nod Yes

prutz0r - 2008-06-12 16:29

You're making me jealous. Big Grin

ao - 2008-06-13 00:43

Paul, if you come over for a chat you can have it.

isolator42 - 2008-06-13 07:49

Cris, you're on.
I'll be cycling through Tuner's Hill on Sunday, with 20-30,000 others on our way to Brighton, but walkmen & b-boxes won't be on my mind. Let me know when you're free, & your new address, etc. via PM when you get a moment. It'll be good to catch up & I promise to bring over some interesting stuff (M90, Kaboom, Sony ZX-7, etc.)

ao - 2008-06-13 08:14

What, you're bringing your kaboom on a cycleride???

OK, please, please pop in as we live on the route. Go through Turners hill & just passed the crossroads, down the hill & we're the first house on the right just by the miniroundabout. Look for the red US-style American postbox on the gate.

walkgirl - 2008-06-13 08:18

Smile

Then you can talk about walkmans and stuff! Cool

ao - 2008-06-13 12:48

Between you & me I hate talking about walkmans.

walkgirl - 2008-06-13 13:37

No! Eek

Why?

happy - 2008-06-15 13:57

Hey agent definately youve the best collection of walkmans ive seen. The panasonic J1way youve got, ive always wanted one but is so so rare i remember this think it was panasonics 1st walkman.youve got 3 how about sending one my way? Big Grin
Hey walkgirls also catchin up with some very fine walkmans and a great growing collection.

isolator42 - 2008-06-16 15:00

aww, nadgers.
Cris, I only read this just now (Mon eve) - if I'd known you actually live right on the route I could've stopped off for a bit.
I've PMed you too, maybe we can arrange another time?

ao - 2008-06-16 23:34

Yeah, it was great, 30,000 out of shape posh London-types wearing ill-fitting lycra, all cycling 62 miles on poorly prepared bikes for charidy. We're on the route so we were marooned (no cars allowed).

Also our house was a few yards from a refreshment stop so I spent most of the day screaming half formed obscenities at those who chose to throw their discarded rubbish over our hedge.

My son suggested spreading tacks over the road, I do like the way that boy thinks.

Bah Humbug

walkgirl - 2008-06-17 06:31

* gibber *

Here the same with that Amstel Gold race,
they shut down a compete province for those
peoples! Mad, thousands of cars and lorries,
then polution is not an issue anymore Frown

Lets shoot them to the moon Big Grin
