My Firsts Walkmans of 2008

tranxmetal - 2008-02-19 13:43

Hello everybody again! yes, it's me with another rare lot of stuff here, my latest additions of this 2008, I hope you enjoy the pictures, I brought the Walkmans from the flea-market hunting...

First this lovable SANYO model M-G75 in pretty good condition, cassette player autoreverse without radio, a very nice piece and with a very good sound.

Now, this sweet SONY WM-FX45 in very goooood condition, all functional, digital tuner, MEGABASS autoreverse and a great sound also.

Now, this pretty silver / pink SONY WM-FX121V AM/FM cassette player, the perfect companion for a lonely girl ever..

This SONY is to be one of my favorites to take out every day, a WM-FS220 hard-shell shock proof, water proof, iPod proof... AM/FM digital tuner with 30 presets, AVLS system and decent sound. Full functional.

Another sports Walkman from SONY, the WM-F73 very good condition and functional, analog AM/FM tuner, autoreverse.

This SONY WM-FX481 is not one of my favorites, but really I love the FM tuner feature because the reception is good, and is very useful when I want to listen a football game from a TV station or the afternoon news. One of the latest cassette Walkmans I think, looking the new Walkman Logo...

This SONY WM-AF62 are already in my collection, but this one had an irresistible price tag, and was a good opportunity to take it to my home. What irresistible is that price? $2 dollars...

On the same store, was rescued this SONY WM-EX35 autoreverse cassette player only. looks good, but needs a new belt and probably a deep clean on the volume potentiometer because the unit makes some noises when attempt to increase or decrease the volume level.

Take a look of this fantastic SANYO M-GR201 BassXpander AM/FM with three band built-in equalizer, powerful sound, great condition but without battery door and belt clip. the bass is deeper and very comfortable, it was tested with a pair of KOSS noise-cancelling headphones.

This EMERSON is a good personal stereo, but the equalizer is not enought to bring good sound quality, only works the cassette player, the radio is dead, only static is received and is not able to tuning any signal.

This is another jewel for me! A GENERAL ELECTRIC model 3-5273B in fully work condition, some scratches in the gray body and in the window, but very nice!

I got this CRAIG JH-6532A AM/FM digital tuner, autoreverse and a good bass response, a very nice Walkamn to go to the job in the mornings.

I bought this rare CASIO W-885 cassette player only, average sound, functional, complete with belt clip, I'd never seen before any CASIO walkman, and you?

Another AIWA for my collection, the unit HS-T50 is in very bad cosmetic condition, but still working properly, digital tuner, built-in equalizer and autoreverse. I love it!

TIME FOR FUN !!!
On the rarest show this week, here is some ridiculous Walkmans to enjoy it. First, this egg SPECTRA model SCR-66 in extra-clean white colour, bad sound, poor stereo reception from the FM tuner, but complete and functional.

From China ladies and gentlemans, we have this STREET BEAT cassette player SB-8940 with the unique four features of a good cassette player: STOP, PLAY, F FWD and VOLUME. and a great grape colour, very delicious I think.

And, to close this newest additions, here is this strange SOUNDESIGN 4323-HBL with the popular look of the Cindy Lauper fans of the earlies 80s, AM/FM cassette player, all functional and a special mention about this unit... IS REALLY LOUDER THAN HELL some in its rare circuitry is amazing, because it makes very high volme level to put to work a pair of 6'' normal speakers.

Thats all for now ladies and gentlemens, I hope you will return again when I catch more rare Walkmans for your eyes only. Thank you!

Congratulations, nice finds. Looks like 2008 is off to a great start for you!

I agree, the Aiwa HS-T50 is an excellent model, found my near mint one in a garage sale...they practtically gave it away. I like the look of the Sanyo M0GR201...slick!

Thanks for sharing your pics. Smile

Nice! This year has been good to you already!

I really like the first one... the G75. Its design reminds me of a boombox era style.

That last one... a real retina burner! Smile
