here is my new adition to my walkman family
it is a lovely hitachi CP-11EX, and Chancelenie
was so friendly to sell it to me

I did own a similar hitachi walkman all ready!,
but when I got the walkman I did see they were
almost the same!

It is strange that 2 almost the same walkmans
can be soo different!, how is this possible?

I think they must be from totally different years.

Oh, I do not know really, I think close to
80 or 90 I think!

i also have a hitachi CP-1. even though your new one looks perfect i think the color checkerboard on the old one makes it better looking. is the new one also made of metal ? i just got a QUASAR GX3665YE and it is the same as the RX-s25a panasonic. the panasonic is new in the box and the quasar is a bit used. the paint colors are so different it is hard to tell they are totally alike. i like the quasar better because of the colors and the checkerboard pattern it has even though it isn't perfect like the panasonic.

My CP-1 is not super perfect, there is some paint
from the corners, bUt for the rest it is okay!

The CP-11 is totally out of plastic!, the only
metal thing is that silver thing inside the cassette
door.

I do like both very much, but the like you say older
one does have more classic looks ,
I also do like the checkered inside better

we have 2 nice nicons 35MM but soon it will be time to get a digital camera. the nicon's will be saved but the printer will go to trash. hopefully sooner rather than later. sometimes i have trouble telling if some players are metal or plastic. there was a time there where they blended plastic and metal almost perfectly.
