Got a nice  Sanyo cassette recorder/player this week, a Sanyo M-G70 (complete with original box, without accessories).

It's from the early 80's and not too much info is on the web about the Sanyo M-G70.

The M-G70 has a  lot of nice features-see the list below.

The box it comes looks a lot like the one for the M-G30, suggesting the M-G70 is from around the same year as the M-G30.

A nickname given to it by Sanyo is  "Sportster" (as shown on the box).

Features include:

M-G70 and its  original box:

Wow. That's a really trick recorder you have there. It's the best of three different worlds, really; transistor radio, pocket cassette recorder ( in stereo with a stereo mic no less), and walkman. I like the idea that it has a telescoping antenna so you truly use the radio on it's own without having to keep one of those wire plug in antennas with you.

Sanyo used to buld their stuff nice and solid back then, too.
