Clip
Greetings all. Here is an unusual Binatone Companion stereo cassette player I have recently purchased. Very strange looking device. Reminds me of a stereobelt.  Any ideas when it may have been manufactured?

I actually owned one of those back in the day.  I loved the sliders and the satisfying way the door closed.

I have not yet received it. Comes in its original box with headphones and case. Just bought it out of curiosity, for the grand sum of just under 9 pounds. A grand old bargain!

Very unusual.  Have heard of the mfg.  Pretty sure few years back a guy in Israel had a front ejecting one like the Sanyo M6060 that he was asking crazy money on eBay for.  Dont think he ever sold it back then but unique.   Guess yours would be from 81-82.   Sometimes owner manual will have copyright or print date on it to help identify year maybe its in yours.  Great rare find.

Here is link to topic on 6 walkman reviewed and one of them is a Binatone HIPFI ( a Westman clone like the Grundig BeatBoy 100 and many others using same mechanics) although not your model maybe shed some more light on what you have.

Thanks John. The picture I took from the Internet. It's not great. When I receive it, I'll post some better pictures.
