Sony WM-EX615 Green Buttons

mrp32dave - 2013-02-12 03:13

Haven't been posting here for a while well since today, still collecting and have quite a few very nice additions.

Decided to post this fairly modern Sony as I already have photos of it.

I have 2 unused boxed blue button versions of the EX615, but to find the green version unused and boxed was very nice, it wasn't cheap but how often do you see these???

Anyway here it is.

Hello Dave so good to see one of the "olde guard" reappear !!!   Well now to be honest I have never seen a Green button 615 just the beige or blue button version.   That is a looker for sure.  Love the color and the box to match too.  Well worth whatever you had to pay and actually a reasonably good sounding dependable player.  Welcome back.

Btw how is that PCDP collection of yours growing?

Hi John how are you?

Yeah the green box is the finishing touch, I think these could only be purchased in Japan as a tourist model.

My PCDP collection is about the same really but have aded a few more most notable being a red D50 and a white D40. The prices for the rarer models on Ebay are just silly!

Nice color... But they seem to be a bitch to handle, seeing where the buttons are placed...

G'day Dave, am hanging in there.  Have purchased less than a dozen Walkman in past eighteen months.   Mostly at this point ones I want to add to my collection the prices are well past my ability to purchase.   Paid a princely sum for a WM-W800 Japanese domestic market with more rare silver A door and Sony CTP-1  AM/FM tuner pack.  But it did come with orig. headphones, microphone and case.  Nothing added to my PCDP collection.  Sounds like what you added are definitely very rare and love the white or red colors.   You should do a topic on your acquisitions over past year you have been quiet.  Hope you now continue to drop in now and then more often ;-)

And your so right about PCDP prices of the desirable models the prices seem certainly to exceed the high prices for rare Walkman.
