Have one to sell? Sell it yourself

TOSHIBA983

retrodos - 2012-12-14 07:29

We don't give advise on which models to invest in for two good reason? First being is. A item only is worth what a buyer is willing to pay and what the seller willing to sell at, so their no real set value, or to say these will be worth ton of money later. Market goes up and down way to offen. Second reason is. Most consider this as a hobby and is tried of sellers trying to fish for info, or overhyping certain models, so they can sell their boxes for top dollar, when they paid only pennies themseft for it.

If you're looking for an investment then you're in the wrong place...this is a place for appreciating cool boomers, not making money

soundboy - 2012-12-14 09:32

soundboy - 2012-12-14 09:45

in your personal discription you mentioned a 12" record player in a boombox you said it had a strap mady it is this one

northerner - 2012-12-14 09:51

VZ2000...nice
Mine's the euro one with red woofers.

deech - 2012-12-14 09:54

Best investment eh ??

gold-bars

This is a  very serious suggestion !!

Ofcourse then there is the gold Conion c-100f

which by the way if anyone had a photo of it

i would like to see and appreciate!!

bison - 2012-12-14 10:05

if you want to revive the old bboy in yourself go and buy a jvc m70,

(i did)

the best way to `invest` is to fix boxes up that otherwise would be trash imho.

samovar - 2012-12-14 10:14

Three suggestions. n. 1, featuring a 12" record player, is rumored to have been the property of Peter Gabriel

• Genesis G-1

with_record_player

n. 2 is reputed to be the best possible investment, although no one knows exactly why:

Dunno Watt 1000

best_investment

n.3 is my best bet: a vintage, solid, matter-of-fact old goody

• Boom Box $ 2012

boom  box

deech - 2012-12-14 10:21

• Boom Box $ 2000

boom  box

  bomb + box hahahahahaha

Someone made a nice ''investment''  today!

Got to find one of those out in the wild.

The seller was fair to all those bidding. He stood his ground from the outset and didn't give in to scalpers looking to end the auction early for less.

If the seller  is a person who is a member here then i must say that he did the right thing!

An honest auction if you ask me and if someone from here did buy it then i m asking for some pics if the box arrives to him or her !!!

northerner - 2012-12-14 10:34

I agree with Bison, buy bust boxes and fix em...all mine have been cheap and I could make profit on all of them....if I sold them, which I WON'T!!!!!   Cos I'm in it to collect and appreciate them not as an investment

davebush - 2012-12-14 10:43

IS ANYONE LISTENING TO ME

soundboy - 2012-12-14 10:46

This has got to be the weirdest question of all :

Q: I have a strange proposal for you - I work on the glee television series and would like to rent your boom box and then can send it to the winner with the cache of it having been featured on the show OR I am willing to bid on it IF you can provide shipping to USA so that I can have it by early next wee using my UPS account. Please let me know ASAP. PS if we rent the box from you - it will be insured and returned in the same condition it was recieved.13-Dec-12
A: I'm sorry but now I have a very decided buyer and I promise to send him immediately after purchase (If him win). Maybe you can arrange with the new owner what you want. Regards, Adi.

Who on earth would do such a question in an ongoing auction??

The seller was so polite to answer it !!

Wow that's an insane price to pay for one. Those things are made so cheap they would fall apart if you spit hard on them. The most i would pay is $10.00 for one lol! The quality is crap and the sound is even crappier. They're only popular because Madonna rubbed her "box" on one
