Never owned one and probably never will, but I would sure love to (who wouldn't).

lav.loo - 2013-08-25 07:58

Just realised after looking at all the pics thoroughly I noticed it doesn't even have proper line in bit of a let down for a box with such high status

smeats1976 - 2013-08-25 08:27

DIN socket has Line In for Record, but no Remote socket (to keep the motor stopped).

Poor M90.

I love my RX-7000 more now .

docs - 2013-08-25 08:48

The line or DIN hardly matter if you are a true tapehead... Looks like a reasonbly nice unit to me.

I have a RX-7200 that I Love too

Its the EU version. The US version has phono line in but then its 120v and red VU's. Blueerghh.

radio.raheem - 2013-08-25 09:15

docs is right...some m90s have proper line in....depends which one...most of mine did

bison - 2013-08-25 12:38

I'm in the fortunate position to turn my nose
Just saying I'd prefer deck over phono line in but it's just my personal preference.

radio.raheem - 2013-08-25 15:35

Been using mine for a couple of hours 80's night on the radio...now im deaf and the vol only went to 7...Geez there loud

lav.loo - 2013-08-27 03:48

Gotta say I never liked jvc as a brand and never really liked the look of the m90 or m70 after seeing and hearing Docs and Reno's in the flesh though I can now say I want one badly I will be needing a lottery win at these prices though

lav.loo - 2013-08-27 03:50

Now at £1,169,00 with a  week to go still, think Iv'e just crapped my pants

So £1169 is your bet?

It is only £799 now, might be equal to $1169.

Hiking the price up free of cost !

lav.loo - 2013-08-27 10:29

I looked at the auction earlier and it was £1,169,00, and now like you say it's £799????

strange

nickfish - 2013-08-27 10:56

If you check the bid history it seems that someone bid £2000 and then retracted it, thus finding out what the previous highest bidder has put less £5. This sort of behavious should be banned or the individual should be forced to pay that amount. You should not be able to retract bids in that way.

Dumb question here...but looking at the manual it denotes "LB" following the box ID. I've never seen the LB before. What's it standd for? Is it  a country specific code?

aestereo - 2013-08-27 21:48

There is another strange thing in the bid history.

How can a member bid for the same amount 4 times?

Is it because of retraction?

Anyway, this bid retraction business works against the autobidding facility by ebay. Why do ebay allow this?

We can make some fake accounts and check the max bid and retract later. Is it that simple?

It means that the same bidder has increased his maximum bid several times to counter the higher bid without reaching it but since the clown withdrew it his 799 bid has not been beaten. Any further bidder will know no more than it will take more than a fiver extra to win this now.
It would not surprise me at all if the withdrawn bid was not the seller or someone known to him. It happens a lot and it makes me angry.

bison - 2013-08-28 18:48

shill bidding, pisses me off...it will be relisted with some no paying bidder yarn or a more realistic buy it now, greedy twerp..lot of it about lately,i seen an m70 yesterday that made me dizzy reading the listing

docs - 2013-08-29 01:52

Agree. The seller would be better off just putting it with a BIN that they want and be done with it.

soundboy - 2013-09-01 16:07

here on a local site say when I try to bid for a m90 sales like this lead's to statements like this...

" on ebay these boombox's sell for over $1000 dallors " this may be true this one is over $1400 can now !

this is one of those dream auctions

I would want a fully functional and maintained m90 to pay this price

here people don't understand if the cassette deck don't work you don't have a m90 worth having I understand the desire to have one and get paied a lot of $ but condition is everything... for sure at this price

good for the person who wins the auction they are getting a great boom box no question

mraiwa1000 - 2013-09-01 17:17

Seller says:  "have owned this lovely unit for approximately 10 years and i am the second owner , it has always been indoors and i have personally kept it in a warm dry place , not a damp loft or garage."

But don't you want it in a cool, dry place? NOT a warm place where the bands and the parts decay?

docs - 2013-09-03 10:44

Did someone get it ?

Must be a UK'er...collection only, no shipping.

OK which of you chaps are hiding this from the wife? I won't snitch on you if you post pics

Doesn't have to be an uk'er at all. A flight from mainland Europe isn't that expensive. London is 55 min away for me  Personally I would have no problemen getting it that way if I wanted it.

northerner - 2013-09-04 00:18

Wasn't me....if it was you would be reading in your morning paper about a woman murdering her husband in North Yorkshire

LOL, this reminds me of a story i saw in the paper a few years back about a women who found out her husband had been cheating on her. So she stuck his Lotus on ebay for something like 50p BIN.
I cant remember exactly how it worked out but im sure someone bought it.

So dont be naughty or when you go away for on business the rest of us will be seeing  M90 bin 25p, Conion C100 bin 40p etc.

The ultimate revenge
