Oooh, how exciting.  Many thanks for letting us know but be warned, if you've put a hefty reserve on it then I'm afraid you'll get lynched.

bp - 2013-03-26 07:19

Starts at EUR99, then it's up to the bidders :-)

Beautiful unit!

It'll do well on the bay...

johnedward - 2013-03-26 13:00

Now that is a true rarity.  Boxed... REAL WHITE color not turned yellowish and Working.

That will get a lot of interest and bet great money for you.  We do appreciate the heads up and posting here.

That's perhaps the best example I've seen on the F107. Be interesting to see how much it goes for...

Nice to see so much interest, and yes, it's is by far the nicest white one I've seen too.
International shipping, but of course. :-)

When I wrote "runs perfect on battery" I mean the extrrnal battery - I can't get it to run on solar only - the led comes on, but that's it. Could be due to our weak swedish winter-sun....

Was the the solar panel powering the radio or tape? If it won't work on tape fair enough as this saps a lot of juice. The radio should be more frugal however...

johnedward - 2013-03-26 17:13

I have a white one and NakD is correct the RADIO should work on Solar alone.  I can get my cassette to play with internal orig. battery ONLY if set out in bright florida sun for few hours.  Even then cassette ONLY plays when Solar Panal directed at sun if you turn panel away from sun cassette slows and stops.   But radio works for about 30 mins if out in sun charging several hours.  My internal battery is just about not holding charge anymore.

Just FYI

I have a video on youtube of my Solar Walkman working using Solar power for cassette and radio.

johnedward - 2013-03-26 17:20

BP if you get 4-5 hours of Bright even Swedish sun with no clouds if the battery will hold a charge it should power radio when out in sun and then turned away like in my video.  If not the internal battery is totally shot and probably leaking as most all are.   Replacing them is very difficult job only for a very few technicians worldwide that have done this.

If you get it to work on solar power it would be very important to do a video showing this way people know the solar panel is working and providing charge.  Very few of these unless internal battery is replaced can power the cassette on solar.   Solar alone without some charge in battery will not power the cassette player.   You will get the TOP money for this with a video showing no external battery and radio working.

IMPORTANT ::::

Cover all white of player you can with towel or paper when sitting out in sun to not start fading/yellowing of plastic.   As old as it is no one knows how little UV sunlight may start decay of plastic color.  It is obviously never been out in any sun during its lifetime... RARE RARE !!!

And here I am like an idiot, drinking this cleanser!.

Seriously thogh won't sun protection chemicals do more harm to the old plastic in the long run?

you put this spray on your skin...no harm to it

only if some alcoholic nature will attack you ....

johnedward - 2013-03-27 10:48

Nice concept to block the uv to plastic but my gut feeling is chemicals in sunblock can react with the aged plastic .  Who knows what long term affect after time the sunblock would have on player surface.  I for one would not risk putting on mine. But am a cautious one.
