I had this walkman returned yesterday. The buyer said it wasn't working. Turns out the belt had slipped from one of the pulleys. To be honest, I'm not to disappointed. I was kinda sorry I let it go in the first place. The reason I'm replying to this post is regarding eBay and Paypal fees. I only realised when both fees were refunded what a rip off eBay and PayPal are. Okay, the walkman sold for about 520 euro. eBay charged 55 euro, while those idiots at PayPal took 28 euro. So that's 83 euro fees for one item. This is absolutely daylight robbery. An auction house wouldn't charge these ridiculous fees. And then you have to wait 21 days to get your money. Pathetic.

I don't really have a problem with eBay. They provide a good service. My problem is with PayPal. There vultures. I have a perfect feedback score yet they still put my money on hold. I have contacted the central bank regarding this very issue, but conveniently they are not regulated by standard banking rules. Does anyone know how I can withdraw my returned eBay fees from my ebay account?

It gets better. I have to write to eBay to ask them to transfer my refunded fees to my PayPal account. It can't be done online. The money can't even be used to purchase items.

I've contacted eBay via there live chat service, and they've transferred my refunded fees into my PayPal account. They were actually very friendly and helpful. Top marks eBay!
