I had a chance to visit Apliu street flea market in Hong Kong about 2 weeks ago. This was the 2nd time I visited this place and compare to first time most of the stores changed their business to more modern electronic goods. I found few stores still selling vintage stuff.
There is one little interesting store at the end of Apliu street. This store only sells vintage small components like Walkman, Discman and minidisc players. Seller is a nice gentleman who speaks some English. His prices are very reasonable.
there are other stores that sell different components like Boomboxes , Hifi

The best place in Tokyo to find vintage electronics is radio museum store which is little hard to locate this store. The store is in Akihabara and on the 2nd floor of a building under railroad bridge!
anyway, Once you find the building go to 2nd floor and you will see this store. They have lots of vintage items includings: radios, walkmans, boomboxes, watches...

This was his display item only section. I went there twice and asked him if he is willing to sell his Dolls and Guys walkman but couldn't convince him. In my opinion everything was prices appropriately except few items. Seller knows few English words so you will have tough time with effective communication. Once you point toward an item they guy will test it for you right away and you can decide whether or not to buy it.

Wow, you were really lucky. I've checked that stall many times and only found later models like the ones in your other shots.

The seller is really a nice guy. You should tell him to show you more valuable items from his hidden treasure box.

Great photos! Reliving them again tonight.

Command8, I posted some old newspaper ads today with several of the cool AIWA BBE's from Singapore Newspapers.

For some odd reason Portugal has a crap load of NOS stuff floating around.....

Yes, over the years I've seen (and bought) NOS portables on Ebay from Portugal. I think they were like Greece, a great vacation place to sell Walkmans.
