http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322485171566?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT So realistically...would you pay the amount that is being bandied about for this model? Looks like a scammer at work......
Some people are not doing their research and the seller will be laughing all the way to the bank, good for him or her. Fool and his / her money are soon parted.
True but when looking at the bidding history there are a lot of bods with zero feedback...I mean last night it was £128 and then £230?! I wished the seller well and advised that he may be about to get tucked up as these should not sell (I believe) for more than £50....Boxed...
There is another one and again the price is being ramped up by someone with zero feedback and this one is "missing" the battery cover.....
That is exactly who it leaves room for, the people it does not leave room for are the people that genuinely want to use them. It’s like when you look at blank tapes, collectors are paying £40 plus for a sealed TDK MA-XG, Sony Super Metal Master etc which is okay if you are not going to use it. If you are going to use it, why would you pay that much when you can get an LP or CD for far less?
But have any of you looked at the prices of these currently? I did ask the guy if he received his £235 for the Walkman.......he replied, yes! But the ff / rew did not function so the buyer sent it back..... Is there a new film / show coming out that we are not aware off? or are these the "poor mans" TPS-L2.....although not really that poor....
well, I don't believe that story of the seller, I think he told you that ffwd-issue just to make sure you keep on watching it, when he lists it again soon... honestly, no new film, music-video or v.i.p. could make a WM-22 that valuable, there's too many around...
I will watch as curious...I have 2 of them and they are part of my collection but nothing fancy and worth the monies that are being paid. There are two on there currenrtly ....£45 and a while to go and £97...with time left......
I only watch items like these, to see which sucker pays that kind of money. I was watching a DD9 the other day that was listed as not working for parts etc. It went for £411. It does not work, you will have to pay for it to be fixed. If you really want one that badly I saw others on there listed as working for £449 and up, why not just pay the little extra and get something that actually works? i will never understand people with too much money
true...I only buy working units and the most expensive I have purchased was a TPS-L2 for £125.00 3 years ago...but it needs new belts now...so another £25 to have these fitted....Still a bargain compared to the "notes" that they are commanding now.....due to a certain film ...........
Before the film they sold for £50 or less, personally i would not pay anything for it as i am not a collector everything i have is for usage and i have no use for it.
I collect but I "play with mine".......hence I only buy working units.....unless I get stiched up by an ebay seller......
