    Hi guys,
I wanted to ask a simple question: with this unit, can I connect it to a Discman or a Vinyl record player, and record directly without the need of an external amplifier ?

    Thanks

    Simple answer:
You can connect it to your discman and record it
If you Vinyl player comes with built-in preamp you should be able to record.

If your discman has option of line-out, connect it to line-in on your D6C
If you just record from its headphone jack the quality of recording wont be ideal

read this article by @walkman archive which is the best guide for recording music:

Well, a simple Thank You is in order
My discman has a line out but my vinyl player does not have a build-in preamp.
If I buy a separate preamp and put it between the D6C and the vinyl player it should work right ?
I will try on Amazon to find any good ones...

Correct! Search for "phono preamp", there is a bunch for under $20 on Amazon... There is no upper limit for "The Good Ones" (as HERE), but factor in the overall price of your TT when shopping.

A Simple Option: since you must be using your TT right now, just use "line-out" off your preamp (or integrated amp) for D6C recording: all you need is an interconnect from RCA to 3.5mm.
