I wonder if they made any of those or just got their name stuck on someone else's ?

Here is a Casio Boombox from 1985 which they definitely made themselves.

There is another one from that era in which the cassette deck is used to save music data.

I feel like they made them, they look kind of nice with the good photography but I bet up close it's like all the other plasticy late 80's builds. I have to believe Casio had a ton of connections in the plastic injection and component board world that it didn't take long to design and build one of these.

Casio always felt like an underdog but they had so many iconic products, calculators, keyboards, watches, digital cameras. One of my first digital cameras was the QV-10 (bought used), around the late 90's it seemed like Casio was still making neat gadgets and the G-Shocks were just starting to get really popular. I wonder what they're up to these days.

Just look at their website https://www.casio.com/uk/
Easily a close second to Seiko on the watch front and Yamaha in the musical keyboard front.
Completely dominating the school calculator market here in the U.K. I haven't seen a new Texas Instruments calculator for decades, while more recently Sharp calculators seemed to go downhill after the Foxconn takeover.

I think the biggest problem Casio (and other manufacturers) had in the keyboard front is that their early models can easily last several generations of users. Over a decade ago I bought a really nice Kawai keyboard at a school fete for £20. What's more since we were there selling items ourselves I waited until close to closing time before buying it. You would have thought some parent would have thought it worth paying £20 to get it for their kids but obviously not.

Casio from 1993, the poster says it's the first but I don't know what for? Maybe CD/LCD and cassette?

From 2001, some really neat portable TV's still getting cranked out by Casio. I've got a TV-970B which is very similar to the TV-880 that I picked up for $1.90 USD at a thrift store years ago. I think one of the downfalls was they were so light that they felt cheap but they really look nice up on the shelf. Thanks tas66dc
