I have always been an amateur electronics enthusiast. 5 years ago I had gone through a divorce and was forced to sell off my "empire" lock, stock and barrel. To spite my ex wife from benefiting from it. What she forgot was that I had her signature on a document that said I own everything and she doesn't. When I found out she was cheating I told her to leave and I sold everything so that she couldn't legally bind anything. So like the Phoenix rising from the ashes I am have started anew better than ever. I also restarted my boombox collection but in moderation. I have a JVC PC-XC12 and a Panasonic RX-4920 I scored recently in the wild. My girlfriend just gave me her Sanyo 9935K. This is the third one I've owned. Hers was still in the box and hardly used. It even still had the instructions and a demo tape to play and record on along with a pair of erase plugs. This was an early production model when Sanyo still included those accessories. I bought a belt kit for it and all new capacitors and soon I will restore this 1980's icon over the holidays. I now have a fully equipped work bench and I am restoring my parts stock. I found an old disk I had created that listed all my spare parts I had in stock. I procured a USB floppy drive and booted into XP and I was able to retrieve that and while in the process I transferred all those old floppies to a USB drive. Anal? yes but I love doing this thing. It's my hobby.
