Hello, I'm from Canada. I'm an original owner of a Sony BooDo Kan that I enjoyed for many years. It is now in need of repair, and being an admirer of old technology, I have hung on to it. I believe there may be a member in our group by the nickname of "Dottor Walkman" who might be able to help me. If anyone can advise how to contact him, I would be grateful.
Hello Boodoboy Welcome to S2G forum. Dottor walkman is great and i am sure he can repair your walkman. You can also ask @mihokm who is one of the best for any DD series walkman. He designed the central gear for DD series. There are other people who can fix your walkman as well. you better mention the specific problem you are dealing with your walkman in order to to get better help. Is it a clicking issue?
Hi Boodokhan, I have the clicking issue but also there is no audio playing from a tape, indicating an electronic fault as well. I have studied the clicking issue some time ago and learned about methods used to solve it, which is how I found out about Dottor Walkman. I was a member of this forum on the old platform and have just updated my membership to the new one.
For central gear issue Marian designed the central gear and several members including professionals used it with excellent success. Follow the following link for central gear progress http://www.stereo2go.com/forums/thr...gear-prototype-is-here.132/page-12#post-13470 regarding the audio issues I am not sure but hopefully another member can help you
Excellent developments! Thank you for passing this link to me. I will inquire further when I get the opportunity.
