I recently picked up a National RQ-WJ1 cassette player boxed from the local second hand store. To my amazement the cassette player is still in great working order. Another bonus it came with the original demo tape. The only thing missing was the headphones which is a shame. Ballin
That's pretty nice, with the battery pack and demo tape. The head cleaning portion on "playable" tapes is usually leader tape that has cleaning properties, I always remember it being white but I can't see it in the cassette. Ours were mostly gray and black, I never saw these versions.
Congratulations on an amazing find! These are among my favorite looking series. The high build quality is evident when you're holding the unit. The headphones seems to be the rarest of the set. It has an electronic pause switch, meaning that there may some setups that wouldn't be compatible with it. It may stop working when you plug something to the headphone socket.
