Hi, I found my old unit! I am now looking for the accessories: a new battery, battery caddy, charger, the in line remote earphones and instruction/servive manuals for an Aiwa HS-LX478 personal stereo cassette player. I am not having much luck searching for them. Please could any members point me out in the right direction with specific sites to purchase these items. Thanks in advance.

Do you have the model number right? I'm not seeing that version.

Thanks for replying Mister X. The earphones were the same as for the HS PX530, with one of the buttons being green.

    Hi
There are fourcomplete units for sale from Japan on Ebayuk. Here is the link to one of the auctions What is odd is there are three different sellers for what looks like the same unit from the photos which has all look identical. And the prices are all slightly different fro a range of £119 to £156 . Is this the unit to which you were referring MisterX?

Yes, you can just pick out the green button. These are the ear phones I am trying to get hold of.

I googled it and nothing came back for that unit. I checked out Ebay and don't see any, sometimes you can get better hits if you know the part number.

The instruction and service manual are proving elusive too!

This is definitely a rabbit hole type search... In 1999 I sent the whole unit, Unit case, battery case, charger and the EARPHONE remote, in its box to a company based at Heathrow Airport, called Sontec. There was an issue with playback, which with hindsight I know was a case closure connection issue... Sontec told me it couldn't be repaired, so reluctantly I agreed to them sending me a new different model, which I sold to a friend... The unit was just a player and I just didn't feel like it was worth the £175 I paid for the LX478.
