Found this in my photo file, I don't think I posted it, I think they had a holiday sampler of my old favorite Piraat which is hard to find these days.

The Sanyo C4, what can you say that already hasn't been said?

I've had a pretty good week and a half finding all kinds of stuff. Today I found one of my grail car stereos, I'll post in that thread later, but I asked the guy if he had any boomboxes or Walkmans, guess what came out of the woodwork? At frist he pointed to a cheap egg but he said, oh yea there's one over there and pointed at this one, the famous Panasonic RX-5040 which is making it's first ever appearance on Stereo 2 Go! She looks a little roached but it's just Coke Stains and should clean up nicely. The antenna tip is missing but most of it is still there.

The good news is everything works including the tape deck, listening now to the Clockwork Orange Soundtrack (Walter Carlos if you know that history). I also found the 2x the tape last week and they might be my oldest at 1971 and they sound great on this mid-sized machine.

The pocket calculator show calls this the top of the line for 1979, don't know if I believe that but for it's size, it's very heavy, has lots of input/outputs and really sounds good. They tend to be fairly rare with none for sale right now.

Give me a Voltron Beer, yes Surly Brewing teamed up with Helping Hands Brewery for a limited edition run of this perfectly drinkable IPA, good times tonight, stay tuned for some more photos.

I'm really diggin the Panasonic Sonics, it does have AUX in but it's the old cranky style. To get it to work I have to put the switch on INPUT IN, the other side is MIC, then connect the RCA's. I use a Wicked Reach Bluetooth Reciever to get the signal from my phone. The fun part begins, I open the cassette door, press down the REC safety button and press PLAY/REC, voila! music. I know most of the older members know the drill but newer members might not be familar with it. I also had to jiggle all the switches to get a fuller sound, low volume, scratchiness from sitting in one position for years is normal, it just needs a full DeOxit Cleaning when the time comes
