Auto had posted one before, now's your chance to own a piece of history. For some reason I've been saying "singe-on" (like fire and Singeon Smith from James Bond) and not Sing On.
Found on a Korean Design Website, the paper is about how Korean's copied Japanese Design. The first sentence has to do with old phones.
This is kind of close but it has a weird transport, the Evertone https://www.ebay.com/itm/256698192186?
@autoreverser Another clone has emerged: The Vendomatic WRS-101 Is the same as the Audio Sonic CT-102 (also have the service manual for that). Vendomatic was the household brand of the Vroom & Dreesmann warehouse concern, they went bankrpt about 10/15 years ago... These are probably the first photo's on the net of this walkman...extremly rare Mine is in a near mint state but not working due to a missing motor! (seller said it only needed a new belt, my s )
yay, thats a nice one ! i‘m still looking for someone who wants to take over the hunt, i‘m old and tired of it
It deserves to have a display somewhere! How many units are you up to? Great find Black Fingers, this thread always blows my mind, this has to be one of the most copied products ever. For all you youtubers, this would make a great subject alone with other copied products like Rolex Watches. It's such a bizarre underground world that does require some expensive equipment to make this stuff.
i do have more or less 65 different ones (plus a few doublettes). here in the forum must be roundabout 10 more wich have been introduced. i do still look for others and every now and then there's one popping up, but mostly people seem to think that they're made of pure gold, so they should keep them. well, there must be more than a hundred, i guess (?). anyway, if someone wants to make a display with those: let me know...
