Some interesting news - released in Japan, at least even if outsourced this is "our old, good" Maxell. https://liliputing.com/maxell-mxcp-...ith-modern-features-like-bluetooth-and-usb-c/
Can we you merge these 2 @Mister X https://stereo2go.com/forums/threads/maxell-portable-cassette-player-mxcp-p100.10542/?
I bought such a gizmoa few years ago because I wanted to use it to digitize my cassettes. It performed so badly I thought it was defective and returned it. The replacement was just as bad. They are cheap and sold under a variety of names with slight styling differences. I don't know if this Maxwell is the same.
That's why I found my old gold but abandoned for years Panny and gonna replace a belt to get it up'n'running.. Another reason is that was a birthday gift from friends in the end of 90s..
Similarly, I thought fixing my Aiwa HS-J09, bought new by me in 1986, and using it to digitize my cassettes, made more sense than buying any new or used cassette player. But I bought another J09 to help troubleshoot the first. Now I have a dozen J9/09/600/360/36/10. Fixing them can be addictive.
I'm sure some people have seen it, VWestlife made a review on Youtube comparing this player to other old and modern players: Interestingly, apparently this Panda W10i cassette player bears a striking resemblance to the Maxell player. Welp, guess this Maxell player is just a rebadged Chinese player. Can't expect much from manufacturers these days.
