1987 with the big Magnavox (Philips) D8300, not too expensive but a lot of plastic.

 

1980, this one is very interesting because K-Mart was a fairly cheap discount department store that was known for the cheaper Hong Kong Version of everything (Soundesign, Emerson, Yorx), this one has a the Cony CFS 55 which is a pretty nice boomer and Pioneer Headphones!

1980, the CFM-31, it looks great, especially with multi-band but yea it's kind of a cheaper model. Sony Boomboxes really started going to entry-level around this time.

 

If your not familar with K-Mart, they were the lowest-cost department store at that time. As kids we were embarrassed to be seen in one, they were the last place to sell boxer shorts (before they got trendy again in the late 80's).

Yea, that is mind-blowing they had some decent equipment, it might have been the region over by Chicago. Ours only had the low-cost brands.

1982, I think the Puerto Rican Dollar is the same as USD, you know I love the Panasonic RX-1950, I had no idea it was so expensive.

 

YES!!! This is one of the first JVC RC-M90 Ads I've seen, now if we could find one with pricing. This is a pretty heavy duty boombox line-up all highly collectable.
