HiFi Choice 1989, some neat looking CD players, the Xenon looks like an AKA, maybe Citizen, and also sold as a Radio Shack Model
I had some posts on Hartmut Esslinger on page 10 laying out the case that he designed either the WM-2 or the TPS-L2 or both. When I say designed, I mean the artist rendering of the outside design, most of these professionals are called Industrial Designers, they might help (or understand) with some internal engineering but they usually bring out their pencils and markers for case ideas which for collectors might be just as important. Who doesn't love work from the famous design firms? This is an interesting article that even has a comment from Harmut! "San" is kind of like using "Mr." in English. https://uxdesign.cc/ux-inspiration-from-history-sony-walkman-28e01c0be356 I'd love to know more about the WM-2 only factory, anybody know where that was built? Here's another 2023 article on the first Walkman, it gets more in depth then the boiler-plate articles. https://www.ebsco.com/research-starters/history/sony-introduces-walkman
We stored this on Walkman.land a while back. Here is the source: https://www.worldradiohistory.com/Archive-All-Audio/Archive-Audio/90s/Audio-1995-07.pdf
