I’ve just received a call from Derek Marshall’s wife, who was very upset. Sadly, Derek died in hospital last Friday, surrounded by most of his family. I hadn’t spoken to Derek for about six weeks; the last time we spoke, he seemed to be getting better. Although he had ongoing health issues, his death has come as a great shock. I will miss our little bits of banter on and off the forum. R.I.P. @Derek marshall
I'm very sorry to hear of Derek's passing. I have been in touch with him, both on and off the forum and he was always very easy to get on with and a thoroughly decent fellow.
Yes, Derek was a nice guy, we always planned on meeting up in person but never got round to it. One lesson I have learned here is, never leave till tomorrow what you can do today. Tomorrow is not guaranteed.
