I found this on EBay. Does anyone know the year it came out? Online manual says 1988, but other sites say 91/92. The clear sticker 94E8014927 is on the bottom. The other sticker 25807408 is on the back.
Thank you, I agree about the radio museum, they had it last as possible even 95. No way this came out in the 90s, I definitely think 1988.
The only way to really truly know when it was manufactured is to open it up and get the date code off of the motor. Most all DC capstan motors have a date on them.
I know this is a pretty old topic, but just to let you know that the last number of Toshiba models from this era represents the year. My 1988 catalogue does not have this particular model (it appears to be May 1988 which predates it), but has the RT-8038 which looks identical apart from being a dual deck unit.
